CONSULTANCY

Our flexible team of consultants are available to listen to what you need and work with you to get the results you want.

Deep Dive Audits: our team specialises in organisational and multi-agency practice and procedure to respond to domestic abuse, quality of child and family assessments and, the effectiveness or otherwise of child protection and child in need plans. Our audits are detailed in nature and will focus on what you want.

Equality Diversity and Inclusion Audit: this is for local authorities looking for a deep dive audit to check social work practice in children’s social services. Though we audit for compliance equality legislation, we go beyond this, and include practices that seek to eliminate bias and promote children’s equality, diversity and rights (UNCRC).

Needs Assessments: We already offer a systematic process (Logic Model Creator) complete with a suite of Indicators and outcomes to evaluate services or intervention initiatives. Before evaluation can occur, you need to identify your community’s need. We  offer a needs assessment service to complement our evaluation work.

We collaborate with Mayday Domestic Violence to support organisations to investigate the needs of their community to determine what services or interventions they will need to meet the identified needs. Our needs assessment complements our evaluation service, which concentrates on evaluating outcomes in the following area:

1. Improving child protection outcomes for children and reducing child neglect

2. Reducing domestic violence and abuse and the negative impact on children

3. Reducing parental conflict and the adverse effects on children

4. Evaluation Service: – Please see our Logic Model Creator

Bespoke Services:

Conflict Resolution Workshops – We have developed a 3–4-hour workshop (co-parenting without conflict) for parents who want to learn conflict resolutions skills. We facilitate train the trainer programmes to upskill staff to deliver the workshops to parents. The offer includes all resources and material to deliver the programme. We find that this is useful as an desired outcome in child in need and child protection plans.

Toolkits – Mayday have developed several toolkits for practitioners working with families. These mainly focus on reducing co-parenting conflict, teaching conflict resolution skills to parents or families, and direct work with children and adults. We can tailor these or create a toolkit for you based on your ideas.

Work Smarter NOT Harder: – We can help you develop and implement a strategy that will support your social workers to work smarter, save time, be more effective. Our strategy will help you retain staff and save money.
